When go Basquing called me to explain that they needed a Wow moment for their guests I thought ” just what I like: surprises”.
They wanted something that would put “the icing on the cake” before the gala dinner, integrating it into the other activities that followed and that included German urban artists.
Located inside the Guggenheim Museum, the one Michelin starred Nerua restaurant housed the entire group exclusively for lunch. Both the interior and the terrace on the river could have been interesting for hip hop spaces, but we were looking for a more unexpected place and decided to have it near the entrance, using the scenario of the “Red Bow” sculpture by French artist Daniel Buren.
Peter hid the giant speakers behind the concrete posts, with our backs to the restaurant Sylvia and I watched the estuary; behind the scenes Stéphanie controlled all the group movements and alerted Vanessa, who connecting the loud music, gave us the go ahead to start “the show”.
The time had come. Upon leaving the restaurant, Mabel approached the group to begin the guided tour of the museum and surroundings.
We turned around and … Surprise!
“wanna dance?”
