Whenever we take our guests to the winery Marqués de Riscal we know we will get a “wow”.
Suddenly, hidden among vines and next to a small town of s. XI, some forms of titanium that wave to the wind in wine tones appear. A structure created by F. Gehry (Guggenheim Bilbao) welcoming all wine, history and peace lovers.
The last time we visited with a group of Norwegian guests. We left the coast from San Sebastian (Basque Country – Spain) and, in less than 2 hours by car on highway, we arrived at this destination in the countryside.
Their work meeting was arranged with care and with the necessary technical means in the library, a space with a lot of charm. Then the plans were divided by tastes:
- Visit and private tasting to Marqués de Riscal, wine town. A project that joining avant-garde and tradition, consisting of the current building and the original Marqués de Riscal’s wine cellar from 1858, one of the oldest in Rioja.
- Relaxation in the Spa Vinothérapie® : The perfect place to relax and indulge in the health and beauty properties of the grape. It offers a Hamman or Turkish bath ideal for cleaning toxins, a large indoor pool and several booths for exclusive health and beauty treatments, based on the beneficial effects of grape polyphenols, patented in collaboration with the Faculty Of Pharmacy.
- Guided visit to Laguardia, a medieval walled city known as “the wine capital of the world”.
Topping up the day with a great meal and a lovely conversation at its Michelin-starred restaurant.
