Carola crane
The Carola Crane recalls the industrial past of Bilbao (Basque Country – Spain), nowadays awarded as part of the UNESCO Creative Cities network, displaying a contemporary architecture with works by architects such as Gehry, Hisozaki, Calatrava, Stark, Moneo, Siza, Foster…
This is a place of reference for our guests. This is our meeting point to enter the Maritime Museum and learn in a pleasant way how Bilbao went from being an industrial city to becoming a reference for contemporary urbanism. An initiative led by Bilbao Metrópoli 30 that materialises in a “super plan” for the groups we welcome: we review the history of the last 60 years with a short audiovisual. Afterwards, we sail with one of our collaborators to see that transformation live along the estuary, while enjoying a delicious “amaiketako”*.
The Museum offers very different inside and outdoor spaces for meetings, cocktails, celebrations, conferences …. In our tailor made events, when more technical groups such as architects or engineers come, we have the collaboration of Bilbao Metrópoli 30, a group of professionals who have participated in the design of the new Bilbao project.
If you like the stories and the whys, Carola is a great reference. If you like the action, what do you think of a gymkhana or a rowing competition?
