A space where to kiss, conspire, hug, hide, sing, jump, taste … and work

A gigantic wine storage, from the beginning of the 20th century, converted into a multipurpose space for culture, food, sports, reading, art …

Philippe Starck designed “Azkuna Zentroa” as a place to unite people. As soon as you enter, in the open 610 square meters of the Atrium of Cultures, 43 pillar welcome you; they represent all the different cultures, architecture, wars and religions men have seen through history.

120 artisans, architects and sculptors from all over the world worked on this project. They used materials as diverse as marble, brick, wood, bronze, cement, steel, Lecce stone or glazed terracotta. Each column has its own personality. Get lost around them and get inspire!, Starck quoted: “Behind the pillars you can spy, fall in love, kiss … Behind the pillars you can spy, a date is born…”

Strategically located in downtown Bilbao (País Vasco-Spain), this magical space becomes a unique place for company events, work meetings in its multipurpose rooms and auditorium, celebrations in the Yandiola restaurant, rooftop, cooking-show …

Last year, together with our partners at Fair Saturday, we lived there an unforgettable night in one of the concerts organised in the atrium. With the motto “a day to change the world through art and culture”, the streets of this UNESCO creative city are filled with the spirit of our painters, sculptors, musicians, performers, actors … An energy that our guests take away and is expanding all over the world.
