Txapeldun

We like to play here. Play to win. In Basque “Txapeldun” means winner. It comes from the word “txapela” (beret), which is the trophy that is assigned to the winners.

When our guests win a game of jai-alai, a regatta, team building sports events based on our traditional Basque sports … even the scavenger hunt that we organize using iPads, we always give txapelas to recognize those who deserve it.

The Encartada reflects the Basque tradition of manufacturing berets. This old factory, located in the middle of the countryside 15 minutes from Bilbao (Basque Country, Spain), offers surprising facilities for organizing events for business groups.

For those who are a little bit more fashionistas, we usually visit Boinas Elosegui in the old quarters of Bilbao or Donostia-San Sebastián, where they can talk to experts about the Basque tradition of wearing this garment, made with the best materials in traditional or contemporary design.

 Thus, we all always win!
